This forum exists to fill what I see as a gap in our discourse in Scotland. Twitter isn't serving it's purpose in terms of allowing people to have a proper discussion and form ideas together. It's all too fragmented, or at least it feels that way to me. The mainstream media isn't providing a platform either. Below the Line comments on news stories are about as good as it gets. Once the stories drop down the agenda, the discussion is gone and people forget.

Here we can really explore and develop our thinking around what is happening in Scotland and form strategies. It's a community for people who are interested in what's going on in Scottish politics as well as life in general and would like to talk about it. ANALYSIS OF THE SCOTTISH MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS PARTICULARLY WELCOME.

EVERYONE is welcome to join the discussion. I'm a card carrying SNP member and lifelong independence supporter and I hope lots of likeminded people come here but I really want to listen to everyone.

The only rules here are:

1. Real names only (focuses the mind and people should be willing to stand by their comments)
2. No posts which are obscene, threatening defamatory in nature. (Swearing is of course allowed as people are adults).
3. That's it. No more rules.
